Could you be in love with someone even if your not in a relationship with that person?

Well ever since i started 8th grade i have really liked this boy. his name is J'Sean (yea i know weird name) i have never felt the same about any other guy. he doesn't know i exist but my friends say that i talk about him alot and say im in love with him. could that be possible.? just wondering....and please dont be rude.. im just a girl with lots of questions and i dont like it when people answer them rudely. im trying to be nice. besides i know none of you on here, so no need for rudeness.
