How can he find someone for him?

He should cut the relationship with his mother for starters, he doesn't need to be put down by anyone either. Maybe having a girlfriend at this time aint right he needs to not depend on having a girl to make him happy, he needs alot of support from all friends and non mentally abusive family members. He needs to make him self happy and love him self 1 st before he can truly care for another person. As for the drinking thats a very bad habit to mix with his life\childhood, which it's only going to cause more problems, including dependence and or death involving his risk taking behavior. Therpy is a good start, but something he has to stick with. Problems from his mothers abuse can lead to him also becoming the abuser mentally and physically. As for his ex shes a cold hearted ******, she didn't deserve him anyways, to leave him at a moment of need he should be happy he found this out now them later! As for getting a girl he should look for someone he usually wouldn't date meaning try something different , switch up get a cut and shave some new clothes maybe. But most of all dont get a girl because you have to but because you've met someone you want to take to the next level! Hope everything works out for you!
