Christians, do you feel that your God has unconditional love for us?

It says it the bible that God is a God of mercy but only for those who belive the right way. I know, this is not the exact quote though this is the exact message. Seriously, would you be dissapointed if God let non- christias into his kingdom of heaven? Afterall, religon is nothing but a projection of a person's innermost desires.
