Dealing with Violent offenders young & old?

It seems to me, every time I pick up a news paper, switch on the TV or radio there's yet another disturbing story of some poor sod getting stabbed, shot or beaten up...,Sadly the perpetrators of these all to frequent violent acts are individuals of the younger generation, a very worrying and saddening fact we all have to face within our city's and towns across the country. The problem of alcohol abuse is reaching epidemic proportions and is set to get far worse costing the country millions of pounds further burdening the tax payer.., I believe we need to take radical action, first and foremost ridding ourselves of the human rights dictated to us by Brussels, the all to liberal attitude adopted by the incompetent,spineless idiots running the country is quite simply not working and infact is having nothing more than a negative and destructive effect. I further believe we have to reform the current penal system introducing far longer custodial sentences where the offender serves it in an environment similar to that of Alcatraz, no TV,Radio or luxury of any kind, and forced to learn respect for others, themselves, and the law. For repeat offenders, kill two birds with one stone, pay the indigenous population of third world country's to run jails built by us, providing them with employment and us with a frightening deterrent, sound radical but do have really have much choice?? I don't think we can lay all the blame on the younger generation for what's happening, after all, their products of our society, but I think it's right to point the finger at current and previous governments for letting us all down..
