TRUE OR FALSE: The movie "Paris, Texas" was banned in Paris, Texas?

I find no evidence that it's true, but it's quite possible. The film portrays Paris Tx. as a wind blown desert town. In reality, Paris rests on the edge of east Texas' forests and is far from the desert.
