What do you have to say about the boss-NS 2 pedal?

I am interested in buying the boss noise suppressor pedal because its cheap and from what I've read so far on the reviews, does the job. But I would still like to know a little more than what the reviews say and see what other people have to say and their experiences with the pedal and if there is an alternative to the pedal possibly around the same price that could do a better job. Just to let everyone know I plan on hooking it up on my pedal board, I'm using a crate Gt80 with a dean ML going through a dunlop mr.cry baby to a zakk wylde overdrive followed by a metal muff, dunlop 10 band equalizer and line 6 echo park. Because of the amount of gain I use I obviously have a lot of hiss and feedback and would like to have that cleared up. Appreciate it, thanks
